Member of Azerbaijan Writers Union, writer Sabir Azeri died on January 28. He had infarction two weeks ago and he was sent into Neftchiler Hospital where died just on the spot. Remind that the writer had infarction for the first time in 1992.
Sabir Ali oglu Azeri was born on March 22, 1938 in Daghkasaman village of Aghstafa region. He graduated from the Journalism department of Philology faculty of Azerbaijan State University.
Since 1964 he had been member of Azerbaijan Journalists Union and 1970 member of Azerbaijan Writers Union.
He worked as an editor in State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, director of publicist department in “Literature and Art” newspaper, chief of prose department in “Ulduz” magazine, secretary responsible and editor-in-chief.
His started his literary activity during his student’s years. His play “The Mist lifts” was staged and a film “The old boat” was shot on this play.
