The first issue of press organ – magazine of Azerbaijan Ashugs Union titled “World of Ozan” has been published in “Nurlan” publishing house. Azerbaijan ashug art’s inclusion into UNESCO’s List of Intangible Heritage, the 5th Congress of Azerbaijani ashugs, their appeal to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the resolution of the congress have been published in the book. The full text of speeches of an academician Bakir Nabiyev, a chairman of Azerbaijan Ashugs Union, People’s poet Zelimkhan Yagub, a Doctor of Philology Muharram Gasymly, UNESCO’s expert to Azerbaijan on ashug art Sanubar Bagirova, a chairperson of “Ashug Peri” meeting Gulara Azafli at the 5th Congress has been included into the magazine. The edition involves also views of Milli Mejlis deputies Rafael Husseinov, Ganira Pashayeva, a holder of presidential scholarship, poet Ilyas Tapdig and other figures about prominent representatives of ashug art, as well as different materials.
