Due to the “Government program on development of library-information sphere in the Azerbaijan Republic for 2008-2013” years Baku city Culture and Tourism Department starts to the project “Mobile librarian”. Overall objective of the given project is providing population with mobile library service, for the purpose of increasing interest of readers to libraries and to reading, and also increase of activity of readers. The project “Mobile librarian” which will have experimental character, will be realized within four months. The project is provided for the reader’s which aren’t able to visit libraries. So since September 1st, 2010 readers can order any literature, having addressed in library of the area by means of city phone.
