The 3rd Traditional Book Holiday dedicated to the 87th anniversary of birth of the national leader Haydar Aliyev and “2010 – the Year of Ecology” was held in Zagatala, Shamakhy, Gubadly (Sumgait town), Lachin (Takhta Korpu settlement in Agjabadi region) regions. The Book Holiday organized by the Centralized Library System of Zagatala region featured book and photo exhibitions under the titles “The Statehood of Azerbaijan”, “The National Leader of Azerbaijani People Haydar Aliyev”, “Azerbaijan culture”, “Rich Tourism Potential” and others that caused the interest of participants. Dance collectives of the region’s Culture House performed in the holiday. An ecological marathon was organized connected with the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev’s declaring 2010 “the Year of Ecology”. The event was attended by co-workers of the Republic Children’s Library named after F. Kocharli. The winners of the poem and painting competitions were awarded in the Book Holiday organized by the Centralized Library System of Gubadly region locating in Sumgait town. Takhta Korpu settlement of Agjabadi region held the 3rd Traditional Book Holiday as well. The said holiday was organized by the Centralized Library System of Lachin region. The Book Holiday featured interesting exhibitions about the Nagorno Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani culture.
