Taylor Luke and Hollie Camella working on The Jordan Times newspaper were set free after Syrian authorities questioned them and called American charge d’affaires, Maura Connelly to the Syrian Foreign Ministry.
To remind, it became known on 8 October about two missing American journalists who had arrived in Lebanon on 29 September. It has been impossible to get in contact with the journalists since 30 September. Only on Thursday, 9 October it became known that Luke and Camella were under arrest in Syria. According to the State Department’s representative, in the meantime, the journalists are in the US embassy to Damask and feel good. Their arrest facts are not disclosed.
