Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary László Kövér embarks on a visit to Azerbaijan.

At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport Mr. László Kövér was welcomed to Azerbaijan by the first vice-speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Ziyafet Asgarov and other officials.

László Kövér told reporters that his visit aims to achieve further development of cooperation as well as inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries.

During his visit, he is expected to have meetings with the Azerbaijani officials.

Mentioning the fact that his visit coincides with the European Games in Baku, the Hungarian Speaker said he will support his country’s athletes in the competitions.

“I would like to congratulate Azerbaijan for being able to hold an international event such as the European Games”, he emphasized.
