On August 27, 2008, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order to perpetuate memory of famous poet Samad Mansur. Under the order, Baku Mayor’s Office was to place memorial plaque on the building where Samad Mansur (Samad Haji Ahmad oglu Kazimov) had lived (Amirjan settlement, 15 Jabir Aliyev Street).
Thus the unveiling ceremony of the poet’s memorial plaque will be held on March 1. The ceremony will be organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan and Surakhany Executive Power.
