Four unknown people attacked the journalist not far from the edition’s building. They knife-wounded him about 30 times, besides, they broke both his arms. The sufferer was brought to reanimation ward in one of the city hospitals. As “Interfax” informs, he was operated on. At present, according to doctors, his life is out of danger, though his state is still hard.
They have initiated a criminal case on the attack; investigation is under control of the Kyrgyz Internal Affairs Minister. In the edition’s office they consider the attack related to the journalist’s professional activity. “Ata-Makan” party is of the same opinion connecting the occurrence with his belonging to the opposition party.
