The Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of ANAS has extended international relations during the last two years, the institute reported on it.
The Institute carries out some archaeological excavations in the republic with the leading archaeological institutes of the world. As a continuation of the carried out works, representatives of the University of Tokyo are expected to visit Baku in February. During the visit it is considered to sign a cooperation agreement between the University and Museum of Tokyo and the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of ANAS.
Chief of Department at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography Farhad Guliyev will attend conferences to be held in March at the University of Tokyo and Archaeology Society of Japan and will deliver a lecture.
In April he will participate in the 7th International Conference 7 ICAANE – “Archaeology of Ancient East” in London to be organized by the British Museum and address the conference on “New light on the south Caucasian Neolithic: Insights from Goytepe, Azerbaijan”.
