A new book of well-known Russian turkologist, Doctors of Philology, professor Tofig Malikli «History of literature of Turkey» was published in “Rheme” publishing house of Moscow state linguistic university. This work is the first monography in modern Russian oriental studies devoted to the history of the most developed and interesting literatures of our time. Author of the book divides cultural tradition a Turks into three periods: ancient Turkic period, early classic (or Muslim) and national (or classical) period. The author mentions questions on influence of Islamic culture on formation and development Turkic literature of early classic period, creativity of great Turkish poet Dzhaladdin Rumi, classic of the world literature Nazim Hikmet and other poets of Turkey and also studying of modern Turkish literature. According to the reviewer of the book Cand.Phil.Sci. of Russia, senior lecturer M.Nikolaev, acquaintance with primary sources and depth literary analysis raises value of this work.
