An exhibition “Chekhov’s Russia” opened at the Baku-based Russian Information-Culture Centre on the occasion of the 150th jubilee of Chekhov, the centre informed on it. The exhibition featured rare materials from the collection of a famous Russian collector V. Belikov.
Scholar and Professor of Baku Slavic University R. Guliyeva and senior lecturer F. Muradova addressed the event and spoke about the influence of Chekhov’s creativity on modern world literature and development of contemporary theatre. Representatives of embassies of Russia and France, teachers and students of Baku Slavic University, compatriots’ organizations and creative intellectuals of the city attended the ceremony.
