The Institute of Manuscripts named after M. Fuzuli under ANAS published an integral part of Azerbaijan’s history, four manuscripts and an engraving about the ancient city Derbend in a book “Dərbəndnamələr”. The edition printed by “Nurlan” publishing house, reflects Derbend during the caliphate period having more than 5000-year history. One of the most interesting manuscripts of the edition is a work “Dərbəndnamə”copied by Mirza Jabrayil Derbendi in 1891. “Dərbəndnamələr” plays an important role in studying and highlighting the history of Azerbaijan.
The co-workers of the institute, Arif Ramazanov and Aynur Hajigadirli prepared the book for publication. The editor of the new edition is Candidate of Historical Sciences, Tahira Hasanzadeh.
