Ex-founder of the site, Anar Mamadkhanly named Ilgar Huseinov – the chief to the “Trend” information agency as the portal’s new editor-in-chief adding that from now on the site will be headed by a professional. The MP mentioned in an interview to the www.mediaforum.az that from here on he will have only moral links with the “Day.az”.
The activity of the “Day.az” and “Today.az” sites was suspended on February 18 over “technical problems arisen in the portal”. Despite numerous versions of mass media about political motives, they haven’t been proved or disproved up to now.
