Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Great Britain Fakhraddin Gurbanov lately attended the British Library and met the chair of the Board of the British Library sir Colin Lucas. A new collection of ancient manuscripts were exhibited in the library of Great Britain. Though in the collection Azerbaijan was presented as a place where selections from Nizami Ganjavi’s “Khamsa” (“Quinary”), manuscripts of the Safavid ruler Tahmasib I and other manuscripts were written, they were shown as Persian works due to their written language. The ambassador said that regarding the works as Persian according to their written language didn’t correspond to reality.
F. Gurbanov presented books on Azerbaijani history, economy, art, culture, Nagorno Karabakh conflict to the British Library.
