The Baku-based Ataturk Cultural Centre hosted the presentation ceremony of the Russian version of a book “Əsrar ət-touhid fi məqamat əş-şeyx Əbu Səid” by Muhammad Ibn Munavvar who lived in the 12th century. The book has been translated from Persian into Russian by the Professor of Baku State University Mehdi Kazimov.
A director of the centre, associate member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), chairman of Milli Mejlis Committee on Culture Nizami Jafarov, an academician Vasim Mammadaliyev, a chairman of Cultural Centre of Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan Ibrahim Nuri, an associate member of ANAS Teymur Karimli, a Professor Mirza Rahimov, a Doctor of Philology Rufat Rustamov and other figures addressed the event and spoke about the scientific significance of the book. The edition has been devoted to one of the shining representatives of Persian speaking Sufi literature of the middle age – to Abu Said Abu-al-Kheyr (967-1049). The book includes materials on conceptual tenets of the Sufism theory and religious-philosophical aspects, the customs of Sufi living, living conditions, information about a lot of historical persons, as well as scholars, philosophers, Sufi sheikhs.
