Writer Elchin Efendiyev’s novel “Mahmoud and Maryam” will be filmed due to the agreement signed between Culture Ministries of Azerbaijan and Turkey. The novel “Mahmoud and Maryam” which speaks about the battle of Chaldiran is intended to be displayed by the end of the year. Shootings of the film were entrusted to famous Turkish producer Sevda Gayghisiz. As it is a fiction, the director will be invited from Bollywood, whereas the make-up masters for actors from Hollywood. The invited make-up masters were awarded “Oscar” in 2007 for their work in Mel Gibson’s film “Apocalypto”.
