The 2010 IFLA World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) was held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 10 – 15 August 2010. As part of the event the delegation of the Azerbaijan ministry of culture and tourism has reached an agreement to supplement an Azerbaijani book stock in Goteborg library with additional materials. The ministry has prepared a collection of books and e-publications about the history, statehood, economy, culture, art, literature of Azerbaijan, and the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno Karabakh. These materials were delivered to the Goteborg city library.
The Azerbaijani stand was created in the library of Swedish city as part of the “State Program on the Development of library and information area in Azerbaijan Republic for the period of 2008-2013”.
