Azerbaijan Free Speech Foundation (AFSF) will carry out a roundtable within the project on “Mass Media and press services: analyze of the current situation and strategic developments in this direction” at 12:00 in the conference hall of Caspian Plaza Business Center on November 25, 2009. According to the information given by the foundation the goal of the multi-step project is to detect the problems by analyzing positive and negative sides in the current relations between NGO representatives and departments on public relations of government and private structures and define the directions of positive strategic development of these relations. That is why the staff of the foundation asks Mass Media and press services heads, NGO representatives and lawyers invited to the event to be active during the roundtable giving arguments rested upon the concrete facts and give proposals on establishment of civil relations between Mass Media and press services as it is the first event of the project. The staff members want to publicize these facts and arguments and are planning to organize the discussion on the details of the prepared conception regarding to the directions of the current relations development in the future events. As a continuation of the event within the project the volunteers of the organization is planning to conduct opinion poll with the participation of all media institutions in December in order to determine the press services having good relations with Mass Media. The foundation staff considers that this project will be a special contribution to the process of legal state construction based on informational society of our country and will assist the normalization of the relations between Mass Media and press service institutions.
