Thus, on 27 August the aforesaid persons were beaten by people in civilian clothes while covering confrontation between the police and Nekhram villagers in Nahchivan. “We were called to come here by local agsakals (old people) facing a problem. Police officers from Babek district came to Nekhram village and told the people not to leave the center of it this morning. We met with the local people, took photos and recorded their voices. Then people in civilian clothes attacked us, took and broke our microphones. Policemen were just watching all that”, journalist Malahat Nasibova noted. As M. Nasibova stated, her husband Ilgar Nasibov got a face injury.
Journalist noted that violation of the ban on group walking (by two and three in a group) by the local people proved confrontation with the police. Nekhram village people said to “Azadlig” radio that they, as always, had gathered in the Chinese market when the police dispersed them and advised to stay at home.
