Americans still prefer to learn news on TV

46% of respondents say they switch on their TV sets to learn the latest news. The inquiry data attests that the majority of TV news adherents use cable TVs such as the CNN and Fox News. The most of Americans, entering this group, are interested in weather broadcast, and the least – in science and technology news.
The Internet is the main source of getting news for 13% of respondents. Meanwhile, less than half of the inquired people from this group say they also watch news programs on TV. The inquiry also witnesses that 34% of Americans read news in newspapers – by 6% less than two years ago. At the same time, the number of Americans, regularly visiting web sites of newspapers in search for news, has increased from 18 to 25% in the same period.
