A letter of the chief to E.W. Scripps Co., owing the newspaper, Rich Boehne, was published Thursday on the edition’s site where he names The Rocky Mountain News “a victim of changes in the industry and huge economic hardship”.
The Friday issue of the newspaper will become the last in its history. The newspaper didn’t live only two months to celebrate its 150th anniversary. The newspaper’s journalists were awarded with Pulitzer Prize four times for the last ten years.
