The largest audience – 13,1 million watchers was gathered on the ABC News channel in “The Night of Elections”. Presenters of the channel were reporting from the Times Square in New York during the night from 4 to 5 November where three huge video screens were set to broadcast the voting results. The second place was taken by the CNN program “The Night of Elections” was watched by 12,3 million viewers and the third was gained by the NBC that also gathered 12, 3 million TV viewers.
The elections of the 44th President of the USA took place on 4 November. The victory was gained by nominee from the Democratic Party, Barack Obama with a big breakaway.
