The 4th issue of a collection “Questions of the Oriental Philology” of the Institute of Oriental Studies at Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) was published. According to ANAS, articles on actual questions of the Arabic, Persian and Turkish philology were given in the collection. “The Cavern” symbolism and “1001 nights” stories are in the section of Arabic philology, works by Nizami, Persian story on the eve of Islamic revolution, conceptual sides of the work “Tezkuretul ovliya”, comparison of the works “Hadisi-arbain” by Jami and Fuzuli includes the Persian section of the book. Development history of the Turkish ashug literature, theoretical questions of a satire, formation of a new Turkish story, lexical-semantic problems of the translation from Turkish into Azerbaijani, Nazim Hikmat’s dramaturgy and eastern folklore sources and other articles are given in Turkish philology section.
