According to him, no other actions, besides visiting Elmar Huseinov’s grave, are planned on Monday at 16.00.
Elmar Huseinov was killed from a gun on 2 March, 2005 at the porch of his house. The inquest is conducted by the Ministry of National Security.
Law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan have published the names of suspects of the murder. They are citizens of Georgia announced in the international search, Teymuraz Aliyev and Tahir Hubanov. The suspects haven’t been found yet.
After his death, a public organization – the Foundation named after Elmar Huseinov was created in Azerbaijan. Spouse of the late journalist, Rushaniya Huseinova, heads the Foundation. At the end of 2006 she together with her son, Aslan, emigrated to Norway.
