Baku-based Russian Information and Culture Centre hosted a commemoration event on the occasion of birthday of the prominent Tatar poet Musa Jalil.
The event featuring life and creative activities of Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Jalil was co-organized by the Russian embassy in Azerbaijan and the Republic Society of Tatar Culture “Tugan tel”.
Musa Jalil died a hero’s death in the struggle against the fascism. Poems by Musa Jalil were recited in Azerbaijani and Russian and songs composed to his poems were performed in the event.
