The Day of Azerbaijan was held on February 9 in Budapest City Library named after Szabo Ervin. Students, teachers, workers of libraries and readers interested in Azerbaijan, as well as Azerbaijani ambassador to Hungary Hasan Hasanov participated in the event. H. Hasanov gave detailed information about the history, culture and modern development of our country, domestic and foreign policy of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijani-Hungarian relations and historical similarities of the two peoples. Then tests about Azerbaijan were presented to the participants. Seven winners were determined as a result of competition. They were awarded keepsakes by the embassy.
Note that an exhibition featuring about 20 books was organized a month before the event. The book exhibition will last until the end of February. The books in Hungarian issued by the Azerbaijani embassy in Hungary and the pictures featuring places of interests in Baku were presented to the library.
