Azerbaijan National Library will host an event devoted to the 210th anniversary of birth of great Russian poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin on December 21, press service of Culture and Tourism Ministry informed. It will be spoken about the poet’s life and creativity, traces of his works in world literature.
A lot of Pushkin’s poems, verses and tales were translated into a number of languages and dreams, intellect and creative power of the Russian people were reflected in his works.
His works were translated by Mammad Said Ordubadi, Mammad Rahim, Mikayil Mushfig, Nigar Rafibayli, Suleyman Rustam, Samad Vurgun and other notable Azerbaijani poets and writers.
