The State Archives Department of Turkish Prime Ministry published a 660-paged book entitled “Karabakh in Ottoman documents”. The book includes information about Karabakh ruled under Ganja Baylarbaylik given under 119 titles on the basis of documents revealed as a result of investigations in the Ottoman archives.
The edition consists of two sections – “Political, Military and Diplomatic Relations” and “Migration”.
The first section tells about the armenization of the region and ruinous activities carried out by the Armenians.
The section “Migration” informs about the migration of the executed and robbed Muslim Turks by Armenians to Anatolia.
The head of State Archives Centre Department Yusif Sarinay wrote the introduction to the book. He noted Karabakh which was occupied by Armenia as a strategic region of the Republic of Azerbaijan consisting of mountainous area and lowlands between the Kura and Araz rivers, Lake Goycha.
