Foundation for the Protection of freedom of speech is going to publish in pamphlet form a new directory of media operating in Azerbaijan.

According to the information from the fund, before the publication of the catalog in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages will be made an official request to the media, gathered information about them. This includes the history of the newspaper, information about the chief editors, circulation and structure. The book will be collected materials on the written media, online media and electronic media structures.

Details will be published in book form and placed in the Internet site of SAMF (http://azfreespeech.az/). It will play an indispensable role in the dissemination of interesting information about the media through the Internet in the world, recognition of the media in the world. The published catalogs will be donated to distribute media.

Team of SAMF asked the structures of the media by the press and suggested that mutual cooperation, asking not to delay the transfer of information about themselves to the fund.

Note that the organization is functioning since 2004; so far it has implemented a number of major projects related to the problems of media. The first executive director of the fund was well-known journalist Mamed Nazimoglu.
