According to the Foundation, $ 400 was given to the family of “Azadlig” newspaper’s writer, Mirza Sakit; the same amount was paid to the family of the editor-in-chief of the “Gundalik Azerbaijan” newspaper; $ 200 was granted to journalist of the “Yuksalish namina” newspaper, Elchin Hasanov and $ 300 – to the “Rating” newspaper.
It is notable that such a decision was made at the yesterday’s meeting of the Foundation’s executive committee. The founders of the Organization are the Association of Journalists – “Yeni nesil”, “The Union of Azerbaijani Journalists”, “The Foundation of Najaf Najafov” and the Democratic League of Journalists.
