According to the Alter TV representatives, the criminals arrived in a car at the parking lot situated in the TV center’s territory and shot at the building seven times at least. Some of the bullets hit the cars parked by the TV-station’s building. Threatening the Alter TV security guards, the criminals threw an explosive which failed to function.
The Interior minister of Greece, Prokopis Pavlopoulos said the police are doing utmost to catch the criminals. Head of the Athenian Union of Journalists, Panos Sombolos supposes that local radical left organization, who took part at the December 2008 antigovernmental marches in Greece, can stand behind the incident.
