At the same time, according to the ITAR-TASS, the reason for Yakovenko’s dismissal was his nonfulfilment of the decisions about creation of the Mass Media Development Center adopted in April 2008 at the RUJ VIII session. In a talk with an “Interfax” correspondent, Igor Yakovenko said he was surprised at the decision. “I’ve just learned about this decision and it is very strange for me. However, I cannot comment on the details unless I clear up the motives of my removal and other circumstances of such a decision”, he stated.
