73-year-old Kurt Westergaard drew 26 cartoons for the book. In a talk with The Copenhagen Post he specifies that he has never been an oppositionist for Islam as a religion, but he considers that the problem of radical Islam should not be left without attention, when fanatics turn it into “religious dynamite”. The edition notes that cartoonist was life threatened numerously by Muslim extremists and he is not worry on the book release to result in a new cartoon scandal. For the first time Westergaad’s cartoons on the Prophet Mohammad appeared in Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten in 2005. In 2006 the cartoons provoked mass Muslim appearances all over the world.
