“When I heard about my client’s being beaten, I immediately went to the prison where Mirza Sakit serves his sentence. About three hours I was near the prison but they din not let me in”, A. Hasanov noted. The other lawyer of M. Sakit, Isakkhan Ashurov stressed on his appeal to the Penitentiary System to meet with the journalist. “It is most likely that this or next week I will see M. Sakit”, the lawyer noted. To note, similar appeals were sent to Garadag district Prosecutor’s office and Apparatus of Ombudsman.
