According to the information received by “Media forum” from the PTV’s press secretary, the Ambassador noted that the mission’s Baku office is represented by 40 observers from 23 countries. A day before the elections 450 more observers will join the observation mission: “Our task is to observe and not interfere. We only watch, prepare reports and give recommendations. We do not decide on the elections’ legitimacy. The OSCE observation mission will evaluate the elections next day after the voting together with their colleagues from the PACE”.
According to the Public TV’s director general I. Omarov, the structure headed by him is doing utmost to worthily solve the problems set: “Elections are to indicate political culture of the people. We try to increase electoral activity of the population and we broadcast the programs aimed at enlightening the voters as early as the beginning of the agitation campaign toward this end”. The director general noted that no candidates would have any privileges; all of them will be provided with equal conditions.
