French journalists accused of Taliban movement propaganda

To remind, 10 French soldiers from the NATO coalition troops were killed in battles taking place on 18-19 August in the region of Sarobi, 50 kms from Kabul.
On Wednesday, 3 September, “Paris Match” published a photo of a field commander of Taliban soldiers nicknamed Farouki in a military uniform taken off a died French man and with a French rifle in arms. Under the shot there was a short intervew with Farouki who specified for the magazine’s correspondent that Taliban soldiers would kill French soldiers furthemore if France did not stop support the politics of the USA in Afghanistan.
French Defense Minister Herve Morin accused the magazine of asquiescence for detection to Taliban. “French people shoud not propagandize “Taliban”, the Minister noted. In his turn, reporter Eric de Lavarene who interviewed Farouki rejected all the accusations adressed him on the Taliban soldiers’ manipulating him. “About what propaganda in favor of Taliban could we speak? We are journalists working in Afghanistan under cover of the NATO troops”, the reporter stated.
