It should be reminded that “Imedi” TV stopped broadcasting on 7 November. The authorities closed the channel in connection with opposition marches in Tbilisi having accused journalists that they stir up passions and provoke mass disorders with their reports executing a political order of “Imedi” owner, Badri Patarkatsishvili. “Imedi” resumed technical broadcasting in May 2008, however, preparation of news programs was complicated as many journalists had left the Company and the channel broadcasted only entertaining programs, concerts, movies and serials.
