In his speech Jalal Aliyev called on MPs for support, but they did not. However, there was nobody at the session to stop him. Jalal Aliyev was not satisfied with the fact that after his first violent speech about ANS, in particular, its vice-president Mirshahin Aghayev, President Ilham Aliyev met with the channel’s leaders. No certain names were drawn during the meeting by both sides. The head of state regretted on the attacks and threats which became frequent against the channel and voiced support for the structure.
It would appear that Jalal Aliyev should cool his temper after the meeting. Maybe he got angry with the suit brought against him by Mirshahin Agayev who insists on the MP to pay compensation in the amount of 1 bln. manats (more than USD 200,000) to him and the same sum to the ANS TV Company for honor and dignity abuse? But it does not prove him speaking that way. Obviously, the scandalous MP forgot that he is an uncle of the Azerbaijani President and a brother of the ex-president Heydar Aliyev the person remarkable for his favor to mass media representatives in the country.
