Several days ago movement “Amal” has carried out wide conference on a theme «Problems of education: Textbooks». Methodological principles, studying of national ideology, the concept of humanity in the literature, historical values became a point of issue. Scientists, teachers, historians, legal defenders and the editor of the newspapers issued in the country participated at conference. Among them was also poet Musa Jagub who has mentioned the problems existing in issued textbooks of the literature.
– Musa muallim, recently in a society began to speak is more often about lacks of textbooks on which engaged pupils of high schools. Whether textbooks correspond to requirements showed to them?
– Textbooks do not meet the requirements of today. There is no systematical sequence in them. In particular it is shown in textbooks in a «The Azerbaijan language» subject in the Azerbaijan sector. It is necessary to note, that earlier this subject passed up to 7-th, and now up to 10-th class. But in the new program of this subject there is no sequence and is absolutely not clear, where it begins, and where it end. Same situation observed in textbooks of the literature. The theme should be completed in the literature, touched problems should supplement each other, patriotism should make a basis of the textbook.
– Why there is no systematical sequence in textbooks?
– Create impression, that preparation and the edition of textbooks became a prerogative of certain people. Products of modern writers and poets are included in textbooks of the literature by acquaintance. Actually it is necessary to approach to this process from the scientific point of view. We shall take, for example, the poems offered to studying. How the poetic sense is submitted in textbooks? Instead of enriching literary taste of children, them force to learn verses In which it be no point. Studying such verses, children think «This so simply, I can write verses too » and as a result there are appear “poets”. As spoke Tofik Bayram «Reading verses of such “poets”, the reader himself becomes him».
– How you compare an existing education system, with former?
Certainly, the Soviet education system was strong, but it has been connected to ideology. All textbooks have been constructed on this ideology. I think that in textbooks there should be the products bearing in moral values of our people. New requirements first of all should be showed to a lesson of a history. If earlier the history of Azerbaijan was deformed, and now it is not enough truthful products. And still it is necessary to note, that in textbooks of a history our enemies are shown is inexact. All need to be named the names.
– The conference organized by movement “Amal” is not the first among similar actions spent by the various organizations. What results you wait from such meetings?
– collect our offers and send in the Device of the president and in the Ministry of Education has been solved at conference. It is necessary to take into account these offers that school general educational rates were construction in view of national values and traditions of our people. And experts, instead of recent graduates of high schools should prepare these textbooks.
