M. Nazimoglu, who deceased on 6 July at the age of 48, was one of the founders of the first independent edition “Aydinlig”. He was deputy editor-in-chief of “Halg gazeti”, editor-in-chief of “Ulus” newspaper, publicist of “Avropa”, “Yeni Musavat”, “Azadlig”, “Shans”, “525-ya gazeta” newspapers, as well as the author of “Gulp” program broadcasted by ANS TV. Lately, he was executive director of the Azerbaijan Free Speech Foundation, named in his in honour after the journalist’s death.
