The PC chairman Aflatun Amashov made an opening speech having stressed the unity of personality and professionalism of the late journalist. As he said, Mammad Nazimoglu had formed the whole army of Azerbaijani journalists. Moreover, the Azerbaijan Free Speech Foundation’s executive director, Hugug Salmanov noted: “I would like to have the friends of Mammad Nazimoglu cooperate with us for realization of the whole plan of actions on perpetuation of his name”. Mammad Nazimoglu’s feather friends speaking at the meeting appreciated the special issue as certain consolation for his family members, people close to him and everyone who worked with him.
To note, a book dedicated to the memory of Mammad Nazimoglu will be released prefacing the late journalist’s birthday on 28 September. And in 2009 it is planned to publish a collection of the journalist’s works.
