For the last month, Azerbaijani authorities have illegally prevented the journalist’s departure abroad three times. In fact, with the present court verdict, the judicial system of Azerbaijan has sanctioned illegal ban on free movement of our colleague, Agil Halil put by the country’s authorities”, said coordinator of the program of Europe and Central Asia of the CTJ, Nina Ognyanova. “We insistently call on Nasimi district court of Baku to show its independence from the authorities’ pressure and start treating Agil Halil as a victim, but not as a defendant”, is resumed in the statement.
